The county seat of Cass County where Texas' oldest continuously operating courthouse is located. The Greek Revival style brick structure was begun in 1859 and opened in 1860. Known as Music City Texas, Linden is host to the Music City Texas Theater with local, regional, and national artists performing in the intimate, 420-seat theater. Linden is home to ragtime jazz founder Scott Joplin, Blues Hall of Fame giant Aaron "T-Bone" Walker, Rock icon Don Henley, and Country Music Comic Richard Bowden. Linden is currently developing the Texas Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the T-Bone Walker Blues Fest, along with hosting the Annual Texas Music Awards.
