This large and comfortable loft-style apartment is perfect for business travelers as well as those seeking time away from the frenzy of the city. Within three blocks we have shops, places to eat, an old fashioned barber, beauty salon, video store, markets and historical Spring Park. Beautiful Daingerfield State Park is just 3 miles away.
Kick off your shoes, read a book, shop for antiques, visit with the friendly people in town, go exploring... visit Jefferson, Marshall, Shreveport, Kilgore, Tyler ... then come back to your secret penthouse. The spacious apartment can sleep four. There is a sunny kitchen, comfortable living room and a bedroom with king sized bed. Twin beds are slightly set off from the living area. The large bath is separated into a powder room and shower/tib area for uncrowded use by more than one person at a time.
Colonel Hughes Landing is on the second floor of the old Masonic Lodge Building, in the charming town of Hughes Springs, Texas... a pretty and easy 20 minute drive from Jefferson, Pittsburg, or Mt. Pleasant.
The Lodging is 1200 sq. ft. with 9 ft. ceilings and ceiling fans throughout. Of course, we have central heat and air. We furnish quality bedding, thick towels, clock radio, television with VCR, telephone, iron and ironing board. The kitchen has a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, coffee, tea and condiments.
